It appears the pump is working but it won't discharge the water from the tub Anyone have any Idea what part I may need. Is there a seloniod that should be closing off the other functions of the water pump?

Do you have an airgap installed at the sink? Take a look at this airgap diagram. If there is an airgap, unscrew the top cap and see if it's clogged up. Clean it out and run the dishwasher again. If there is no airgap, check the dishwasher drain hose. Let us know how it goes. If none of this solves the problem, post back and we'll go from there.

Good job. I'm glad it's fixed. Check valve and the pump in general would have been the next thing I'd ask you to check.
The reason why I pointed you to the airgap first was because it's a good idea to start troubleshooting from a) the most common cause b) most simple things to check. For example, if your appliance doesn't show any signs of life, check the circuit breaker and the plug first, before taking the control panel apart, etc.
By the way, check the door. Make sure there is no hole where the plastic button used to be.
