Fills and starts wash cycle like normal.
After about a minute and a half, stops dead, lights on panel like normal.
Wait about 3 minutes and starts wash cycle again for about a minute then quits again.
Just sits there now until I press cancel. Sits for a bit then drains....almost until the required 3 minutes elapses.
Something thermal?
Thanks for any help.

Remove the toe panel and check if the motor gets hot. Possible the motor over limit protector shuts it off due to overheating. If it's right then the pump & motor assembly has to be replaced.

Remove the kick plate and see if the tech sheet is there.
If it is there try to run the diagnostics.
Also try the simplest wash cycle, turn off any options to see if it will start the wash motor.

I can find tech sheets for GQ0 etc. but nothing on a JG2, same applies to parts.
Please check your model number
