I was not careful in attempting to remove the unit from the window and it fell. Fortunately it was cushioned by a bush. In the fall, the thermostat knob brokd and the wire from the plug came loose. I was able to piece it back together without knob control function and it appeared to work fine. I am not sure what level the thermostat is set at an cannot control the setting due to the damage. I have two questions: 1. a ground wire also came loose and I am not sure what it is to be connected to. Does the thermostat require a ground? 2. can I get a replacement part?

Yes to both questions just supply model number. :)

There is no obvious ground connector on the thermostat. Any tips on how to connect the ground?
