Here is your parts breakdown Model TEDX640PQ1Here is the wiring diagram https://www.servicematters.com/d...0Sheet%20-%208576793.pdfPut the unit in timed dry. Now does the timer advance? If yes, your heating element may be shot. Unplug the unit Disconnect the wires from the heating element and measure it. Should be around 10 ohms. If OK, then measure from each input to the case. Should be infinite ohms (an open). If you do not have a meter remove the heater and check for a break in the coil or a short of the coil to the case. |

Flip your breaker off/on slowly a couple times or if you have a meter check that you have 240 volts at the plug.
Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. On this unit the motor will run but the heater will not heat and the timer will not advance in any cycle type. |

The breaker in the house fuse box which is for the dryer. Should be a double, takes up 2 slots. |

I just finished fixing the same problem. When you have the dryer on heat and thermostats see no heat the timer wont work. If you have a little flap in front then open it. turn you dryer to heat. if the ignitor turnes on and glows but no gas is shot in then you have a no gas problem. There are the two coils next to each other. a three prung and a 2 prung. These coils control valves that let the gas out.
If ignitor is not working(glowing) then first turn on dryer(heat) and check for 120v at ignitor. If volts there then disconnect and put your meter on ohm(horeshoe) and on ignitor side of the connection put one lead on pin and other on other pin. If you read OL then ingitor is bad. your looking for low ohms. Coils- 3 prung, holding up from left to right. p=prung. p1 one lead and p2 other lead looking for 1300 ohmes9 1.3kohmes samething. p1 to p3 550 ohmes. 2 prung coil= p1 to p2 should be 1300 ohmes.
Let me know
