An easy and inexpensive repair. how do i bypass it? or test it for that matter.. also its very difficult to get to, will i be able to slide off the whole back panel or top so i can get to it....thank you

Use a meter to check continuity, or a solid wire inserted into the two non green wire terminals on the connector coming from the console to by pass it.
