The door to our 1982 Tappan gas oven stuck and would not open. Finally got it open and took it off. The right hinge works but the left door hinge gets stuck and will not come out so door stays shut unless I move and jerk it all around and struggle for a while. Would a new left hinge be the answer? or a new door?

A new hinge should take care of your problem.

Thank you, Nat, for your response. We are in New Jersey, so I will look for an appliance repair person in NJ who can put on the new hinge.
