Condensor fan on my GE will not run. I replaced the DC fan motor and still nothing. Does anyone know if there is something between the condensor and mother board? I don't have a wiring diagram to check, and i'm nervous to drop $150 on the motherboard.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Rob

GE has used cheap drivers in the motherboard, best to replace it whenever a load like the evaporator motor fails. Your service sheet is usually behind the encoder, the control box in the fridg section.

Denman, richappy, Thanks. I'm not too experienced at this, so your help means a lot. I plan to replace the board tomorrow and that should buy me a few more years. Thanks again for responding.

Well, we replaced the board and everything seemed to come on. The freezer temp seems perfect. The condensor fan is purring quietly. But the refrigerator side never cooled down. It's about 55 degrees 24 hours after being "fixed".
Any idea what could be wrong since we just plugged it back in and the board seems to be working? Could they have selected the wrong board at the parts shop?
Again, I will be grateful for any suggestions.

Make sure the damper door is open in the refrigerator, the evaporator fan is working and there is no ice jam in the air return at the bottom of the fridg.
