Hello,
I have a washing machine that most of the time leaves the clothes wet. I noticed that the problem is at times, the motor runs, but the tub doesn't move at all. If I stop the washer and move the dial a bit and start it again, it seems to work again. I keep hearing about bad couplers and clutches, but being that it's intermittent and on any of the settings, could it be the timer? No crud under the motor leads me to think clutch or possibly timer. Any ideas? When the motor was running, but not spinning tub, I didn't hear or smell anything suspect. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mike,

The transmission in this model is a neutral drain what means the washer drains first and then the timer should pause for a few seconds to engage the transmission and start to spin.

According to your description the problem is a bad timer.

- The part number for the timer is AP3018981

Here are the break down diagrams for the Estate washer Model TAWS700EQ0
