Maytag Neptune front load washer MAH5500BWW...
Door switch was recently replaced with a new switch after replacing the unit ran for about a day then stopped showed 60 on the display and door would not re-lock.
Found water control valve assembly was leaking water into the main control panel area - spraying water into the control panel.
Replaced the main control panel.
When the door closes, the washer just beeps and will not lock the door When activating the door lock solenoid, the washer simply unlocks the door.
Diagnostic of the switches shows that it is locking but not registering on the control board apparently.
Further testing unit will not go into diagnostic mode as stated in service manual. Also, touching keypad membrane will only return beeps. There are 2 or 3 beeps when plugging in the unit in. Start lamp flashes and no keypad functions appear to operate, including putting into service mode.
Membrane failure?

Membrane failure? Timm, Replacing the control panel / console, is a good place to start, Part number: AP4026879
If you're sure the door lock switch circuit is good, you'll also need to check the wire from the switch back to the control board for damage, loose or broken wire. :) :) :) PS. Sounds like you found the technical data sheet, you'll do fine.
