I have a Sears Kenmore dryer Model 110-63952. Drum is making a metal on metal sound. The felt seal on the front of the drum has come off. It is still intact however. After researching some I believe this occurred because I affected the drum support when didn't replace all the screws when I attemped to remove the rear panel. After I replace the screws in the back panel so it properly supports the drum, can I use the old felt seal, or do I need a new one? I was gioven Part# 280114 as the replacement felt seal if I need to order. Do you have instructions for this procedure? Thanks

Its sad that after almost two months, you have not received a response. This speaks volumes of this forum site.

I recommend that you do replace the seal. A poor seal adds an extra load on the motor and will cause premature motor failure.
