The dryer spins and drys the clothes, but I have to run it at least 2 to 3 times at 60 minutes each to dry a standard load. It's definitely not drying properly.
Any suggestions?

hi, There is a lot of things that ca go wrong with a dryer, maybe timer, sensors etc. malfunctions. But i have a gut feeling its maybe the gas valve coils. Open the access panel on your dryer, back or front of the dryer depends on what model. Let the dryer run and observe if the igniter glows, observe if gas valve opens resuting burner to lit. Observe for several cycles, if you noticed igniter to glow but no resulting flame from burner i would suspect solenoid coils are bad, easy to replace.:)

There are several things it may be. First before replacing any parts, pull the vent off temporarily and clean all the lint from inside the dryer including inside the blower housing and ventilation. Run it with a load on the timed cycle for 45 mins, not the auto dry. Any restriction will cause long dry time or never dry the clothes. There is also a thermostat that cycles on and off at temperature. Most of the time, when you have long dry time it ha to do with air flow. You might also check the front & rear felt seals. If they are worn it will disrupt the airflow and go another direction other than through the drum. Also check the blower housing for any objects such as lint, coins, clothing, etc. Other than that, there may be a problem with the temperature switch or the timer control itself.
