My washer washes just fine but won't do anything after the wash cycle is done. It drains the dirty wash water out but won't refill for the rinse cycle. It just stops as if to say "ok, I'm finished". I've tried it on all the different wash settings and it always stops just before the rinse cycle. It's being difficult and kicking it didn't help any, just hurts my toes. I bought it used and can't find a model number anywhere. I just need it to last 1 more year until I can get a new one.

Turn off the main water supply and remove the hoses from the washer, check inside the valve to see if there is any debris on the screens. Do not remove the screens, if there is any debris on them clean them with a Qtip or something like that so you don't puncture them. Let us know what happens.

 After reading a bunch of the other posts I have narrowed it down to the cold water. All my rinse cycles are cold and I tried to wash a load in cold/cold and it didn't even start up. So now I will try the taking off the hoses and checking the screens and see if that helps. I just got this washer used so I will also check the cold water hose to be sure it isn't clogged. I'm post my findings when I'm done playing with it.

Note to anyone trying to fix a washer. Always make sure the water is turned off. I got the hose off and it went crazy spraying the entire laundry room and myself. The cold water intake was full of mud so I cleaned it out and now the machine works fine. Now I just have to mop up all the water and change my clothes.
