Washer stops occasonially in wash cycle with water still in tub. I talked to a local appliance guy and he said the problem was most likely a bearing going bad. Motor is over heating and auto shut down kicks in. I unplug power cord and wait 1/2 hour or more and it works again,so far. He says it's a bearing in the transmission. I am pretty handy with tools and am wondering just how much of a job it is to tear it apart? Also I am not totally sure that it is the bearing and the local parts supply won't take return parts. What would you advise? Is there a diagram I can access on the web?
