When we choose to get ice from the fridge there is a very loud buzzing sound that comes from the icemaker...very loud. Everything works fine w/the refrigerator. It produces ice cubes/crushed ice and no issues with the water dispensing function. Loud noise has been on-going for about a few weeks now. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

It could very well be the solonoid # 378. It could be the source of the chatter. Also there is the auger motor #369. Take the ice bin out, and open leave the freezer door open, and hit the door switch button in the freezer, and then ask for ice. Then you will know for sure. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Tom,
- Ice tray out
- Door left open
- Door switch indicator press closed
- Then asked for ice
No buzzing sound. Put it back and now all fixed. Never tried pushing the button w/the tray out, but the tray has been out numerous times in attempts to fix. This happened a few months back while I was deployed and has been on my things to fix list since coming back home.
