I've searched and found many similar threads but thought I needed some clarification. Our dryer works fine in timed drying but neither auto-dry, permenant press or regular, advances the timer. The dryer gets hot and if the timer is moved manually down to "less dry" it will advance from there but not from "normal dry". I've replaced the cycling thermostat and was looking at the timer but everything seems fine. The element is not shorted. With the temperature knob on air fluff, the timer "ticks" from normal dry but on any other setting it does not "tick" until it gets down to "less dry". I hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help.
