2004 Range purchased new in 2006. Series of events that led to sparks from the switch assembly are as follows: Igniters clicked continuously after turkey day stove top cleaning. Unplugged from wall, examined switches and found cleaning fluid in the switch shaft. Dryed as much as possible with napkin. Replugged to electricity, then sparks and quick burst of flame came from 2 of the 5 switches (burned white shields and probably wires close to switches). Ordering a new assembly but do not know how to install, and if more components should be ordered for complete repair (wiring included in assy??). Any help appreciated.
Also, one of the 5 igniters is not sparking (since brand new). The wire to the igniter has continutity, the igniter has continutity, and there is power found to the igniter with electrical meter. What might be preventing the spark?
Thanks - Don
