My older Whirlpool washer vibrates really bad in the spin cycle. It does this regardless of the load...I have run it with nothing in the tub and it still vibrates.: Any ideas? I really don't want to trash this washer because it does such a good job cleaning the clothes...

I would start by replacing the springs, and checking for any problem in the support system. You will need to take off the cabinet, and this video will show you how.
