Your issue is most likely a clogged or restricted exhaust vent system, possibly a "weak" high limit thermostat, or an air leak at the drum or blower seal.

The hi limit thermostat is designed and operates as a safety device, it's not designed to operate on a continuous basis, ( ideally, it should never operate). It's just a process of elimination, or educated guess. :) :) :)
