I have just aquired this washing machine, after a long struggle with my front loading Maytag (which worked flawlessly both times I took it in). This washer has two drain lines, which I have never seen before. To use it, I have run a 2ft length of Washer drain hose to a 1" Tee, where I tied in both drain hoses. Did I do this correctly? Why do I have two drains? I read something about "suds recovery" on this machine, is this why I have two drains, and can you tell me what suds recovery is all about? Merry Christmas! Thank You! Joe

Sounds like you got a sud save washer.
The reason for the two drain hoses is because the washer can save half the drain water and reuse it.
To save the water the one drain hose would go into a sud saver tub and the other drain hose down the drain.
Durring the drain cycle half the water gets save and pumped back into the tub with some regular fill water.
Suds save washers have not been made for years now and I have not worked on one for a good 5 years or so.
Most of the time the sud save valves would fail and I would just end up bypassing them, more or less turning them in to a standard top load washer.

It maybe stamped on the back of the washer were the drain hoses connect as to what hose is the main drain hose and what hose is the suds saver hose.

Thanks ApplianceJunk, I do basically already have it in use like a standard top load, works good so far that way, drain line is clearly marked, maybe I'll grab a bucket and try out the suds saver sometime. Thanks for all the help, Merry Christmas to all! Joe

In my searching on the internet, I was unable to locate an owners manual PDF. Does anyone know where I can either view or purchase one?
