The timer know just spins whne I tried to put in a new load of laundry. It worked fine earlier in the day and now the know just spins, it is like it is not catching on anything. I also am unable to pull it out or push it in. Any idea what needs to be done to fix it???

You will need to determine if it's the shaft in the timer or the knob itself that is messed up, timer part # AP2045964

How do I get the know off to determine if it is the knob or the shaft that is ghaving the problem?? I took the screws out of the top so the face plate is free, but how do I get the know off to determine the problem?? Do I need a special tool or is there another way to get it off?

Thanks
