[FONT='Times New Roman']I have a Maytag Microwave (model MMV5208WB) and the problem I have is that while everything works perfectly when cooking, when the timer counts to zero, the light, turntable, and fan stops as they should but he magnetron stays on and cooking continues until the door is opened... When the door is then closed, the magnetron comes back on even though all settings indicate that it should be off… so we have to keep the door opened at all times unless we want to cook something – even then we have to make sure we are standing by when the timer goes off to avoid burning the food.

This is a potentially dangerous situation. I would probably leave the microwave unplugged until you get it fixed. The cook relay on the micro computer (electronic control) has welded together contacts. Unless you can replace the relay, you will need to replace the MC. Part no. W10286816
