Hello, I have a GE spacemaker that is not working. The other day my wife was removing a plate from the microwave and struck the lower plastic lock that closes the door. So the door closes and the lights and thedisplay works but the oven does not operate. The display reads click start of the power button but clicking the start button does nothing. And with the door shut it makes a low humming sound.
Do I need a new door or can the plastic piece be replaced? It there a way for me to "rig" it so it will work until I get the parts?
thanks in advance for your help, tim

Looking thru your parts inventory i found the latch that I need. Where can I find instructions to remove the door from the microwave then take it apart so I can replace the latch.
many thanks
