Washer cyle operates normally until it goes to rinse. Then it stops completely,if you play around will the dial a bit you may get it to rinse but then it stops again before the rinse cycle. I have gotten it to work a bit by going to the 2nd rinse cycle and playing with the knob until you hear the timer working, in the 2nd rinse cycle you then get the washer to spin and drain. My husband is fairly mechanically inclined and has fixed the celinoids ? on our dryer before. so could you offer advice on what needs fixing , how to fix it , and what parts are needed. We are more than willing to buy the parts thru you.

Sincerely,

Nicole Jones

It sounds like the timer is your problem. If you move the dial up and down, and mess with it, and it comes on, it most likely is a bad connection in the timer. Replaced the Timer. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

I have ordered a timer and a switch, I found the sears parts list and tried to order the " Do-it-yourself" manual but Appliance parts pros stated they could not get the manual, any suggestions?

Jack if you need help when you get the part, either come back here or go to my website, and I will walk you through the repair. I believe the hardest thing will be getting the knob off. If your timer has a plastic pin in the center of the timer, you need to grab it and pull it out some to release the dial. If you need us let me know. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Thanks for the reply, I am sure that I will need your instructions. If I read this right your web site is "ApplianceEducator.com"?

I bought a repair manual for the washer from Sears, I tried to get it thru Appliance parts but they no longer carried it. I wish they had as it was about 50% cheaper thru them if they had it. Anyway, with a discription and or diagrams the timer was pretty easy to replace. I have to now do a few loads to see if I actually fixed the problem. Now that I know about this web site I will keep it close, this is very handy!!!.

Thanks!!!
