Recently experienced large electrical spikes. Since that time the range hood is inoperative. Appliance breaker was tripped. It was reset, however the hood has no power. There is power to the unit.

Upon taking off the protective cover I noticed burn marks on the cover, plus some of the wiring has burn marks as well.

I suspect that the microcomputer board is shot. I believe the part number to be AP2964455. However, if this is not the problem I do not want to spend $270 on a wild goose chase.

What is your opinion?

Is AP2964455 the correct part? Or is some other number?
