Kenmore 90 Series Heavy Duty
I replaced the broken motor coupler yesterday (initially, the washer stopped agitating & spinning.) Once I reassembled, it will agitate and spin but it makes a very loud noise when agitating and even louder when spinning out almost works up to a whistle with the banging. Also, it seems to brake hard.
Not sure where to go from here...guessing it could be the clutch, transmission...or ???
Help. Please. Anxiously awaiting a reply as the laundry piles up.
Thank you for your time.

First check out the coupling and the pump to make sure it is not binding in some way.
If it checks out, the problem may be in the brakes. See the Sticky at the top of this page by Richappy to see how to check them out.
