Hello, I have a roper dryer model # rex5634kq1. It was running fine but the next day it would not start. The elements still got hot just no tumbling at all. I tested for continuity on the pust to start switch as well as the door switch, which both tested out ok. I even jumped them to make sure.So that led me to think the motor was faulty. I replaced the motor with a new one and still nothing. Was it a switch elsewhere I failed to test? I am also wondering why the elements automatically start to heat before I even hit the push to start switch? Is this normal and I have never noticed before? thanks in advance. If it wasnt for strolling upon this site I still wouldve been at step one.

Look for a direct short in the wiring to the cabinet, to the element, or the element itself. that's about all it could be by looking at the wiring diagram.
