My Freezer has ice on the back of it on the inside. The Fridge is not cold. The freezer is cold and the fan runs but does not keep the food frozen. The fan is running in the freezer. I cleaned the coil in the back which had a lot of dust on it. I did not clean in the front. I didn't realize until this morning that I may need to check that. I cant tell if the compressor is running or not. What could be the problem?

You have a defrost problem if the back wall of the freezer is covered with ice/frost. There are four things that will cause this defrost heater (most common), defrost thermostat, evaporator thermistor and the main board. You can check all the components from the main board or you can take them out and do a bench test. Take a look at this page it should help GE Refrigerator Repair Guide
