Dryer was starting automatically after closing door with timer set (no need to push start button). Continued to use in this condition and eventually dryer would not come on anymore. Replaced start switch with new one, still will not come on. Did I burn something up?

What sounds does it make when you try to start it? If loud hum=bad motor.
