If the pump or motor is frozen will this keep the water out of the dishwasher? It just hums but it does not spin. Everything else seems to be working properly. Is the new pump for this unit easy to replace or should I call someone out to replace it?

The water is entering the dishwasher at the beginning of the wash cycle, but it is not circulating during the wash. There are no clogs. At the end, it is pumping water out of the dishwasher and into the garbage disposal.
I believe I can hear the motor running, but apparently things are spinning since no water is being circulated.
How do I fix this?

JCG, Eddie's problem is different. He had a locked up motor, very common for GE dishwashers. Post your dishwasher model number here.
