I have a whirlpool gas dryer that starts the drying process then stops
igniter lights and gas fire for a while and cycles but after ashort while stops cycling on. any help? was thinking of the cycling t-stat but was unsure

The cycling thermostat is probably a good place to start. Check it with an ohm meter.
