Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/8/2010(UTC) Posts: 1		Is it hard to replace the timer on a dryer? It won't shut off. It was replaced several years ago for the same reason. Would like to replace it one more time before replacing the dryer but I don't know if it's an easy job--i.e. connecting a couple of wires.

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 3/29/2009(UTC) Posts: 11,699		Without a model number I cannot give you exact directions, but in general on the GE's replacing the timer is an easy task. Take off the console, unplug the timer (note how the wires go!) and take off the old, put on the new, and you are set to go.
