Electric sounds are made when activating dryer but barrel does not turn. Dryer relatively new (3 yrs). Any suggestions? Is there are trouble shooring list I can go thru? Mike

Mike,

If the motor works but the drum does not turn, most likely the problem is a broken belt.

Thx Gene. Barrel has tension on it so I think belt is intact. Could the motor be fried ? If so, is it better to have service call? And who is best to call. Bought unit at Lowe's and no warranty left. Mike

Mike,

Open the door. While pushing and holding the door switch, push the start switch and the same time turn the drum manually. Post the results.

Gene.
