I recently bought a home with the dishwasher. It will fill with water and heat it up but it never sprays or drains. Any suggestions on what it might be?

I need to decide if I should just replace it or if it is worth fixing.

Do this, unplug the d/w, and remove the lower access panel. Get 2 screwdrivers. Now look at the motor straight in front of you, you will see the cooling fins in the motor, put the screwdriver against one of the fins and turn it a bit, you should feel resistance, now put the other screwdriver in there and do the same thing, keep turning the motor until it breaks free. Most likely you have a stuck seal, and by turning the motor you will get it to free up.
