fishnugget,

Open the control panel and unplug the membrane switch ribbon from the control board slot. Power up the oven and monitor it for two days.

If the error would not come back again then replace the control panel.

If the error code will come back then replace the control board.

In order to provide the right part number for the control panel I need the color of it.

- The part number for the control board is AP3767567

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool oven Model RBD276PDB12

It is black.

How do you get to the panel. I see 4 screws on fron where exhaust is. I unscrewed them but nothing comes off. Also. You say to deattach ribbon and if codes come back it is panel. You also say if codes do not come back it is panel. I don't understand.

Can you get a new panel without membrane, or am I better off replacing both?

What total parts do I need? Gaskets ? I am handy but don't want to not order some small part I need.

Is there a schematic to show how to disassemble?

Thanks,

Rich

Rich,

1. I said: if it's come back then replace the control board.

2. No, you can not. It's sold as assembly.

3. You do not need any other parts.

In order to open the control panel you have to: open the oven door, remove the screw on each side of the trim, pull the trim out from the bottom and slide it down to release it from the control panel side tab, remove the screw on each side of the control panel, pull the control panel out from the bottom and push it up to release it from tabs.

- The part number for the control panel is AP3046668

After opening oven door, there are 4 screws at the top that hold in what looks like a vented cover. However, there is a flat exhaust tube sticking out from it as well. Is this the plastic that must be removed? I don't know how I can get this out since flat exhaust is in the way.
