I have a six year old Kitchenaid Range who's Dual Burner switch seems to have gone bad once again. The first time was about three years ago and it was replaced under an extended service plan. That plan expired a year ago, and now it loks like the same switch has gone bad again. The indicator light is on all the time now and you do not here a click sound when you turn the Infinite switch (left front). The dual burner no longer comes on under any switch position. Is it a safe bet that it is the switch once again? Part Number: AP3751872 made by WHIRLPOOL.

I'm sooo glad that you respond so quickly to these questions. Look, a month is a little long people! Are you going to answer my question or not? I already ordered the part, received it in the mail, and installed it. So I guess I answered my own question, no thanks to you guys.

Please put a notice somewhere on your forum stating that your responses to questions might take weeks, months, or even years.......not days.:(

Did it work. I seem to have the same problem.
How do I know which terminals match the old ones on the new switch?
Thanks very much,
Harvey

Yes, I replaced the second bad burner controller with another one, but this time it was a redesigned controller. It works much better and I haven't had any problems with it since I installed it over 10 months ago.

I wired up following the instructions that came with the new revised burner controller. If you didn't get any, contact the manufacturer of that switch and ask for them.

Thanks very much. I ordered the part, which has not yet arrived. Hopefully, it will have wiring diagram with it.
