Dryer stopped mid cycle. Drum doesn't turn/no heat. Will not restart. Electric supply OK. Timer, light and door switch still work. Acts like it would if push to start switch wasn't activated. Depressing PTS switch won't make it go. Switch doesn't make a clicking sound/feel. Is problem this switch? Unusual for a switch to cut out in use?

it is quite possible you have had a thermal fuse burn out, located in the back it is a two prong plastic fuse located on the blower housing, after shutting off the power to the dryer pull one of the terminals and check for resistance across the terminals. if high or infinant resistance replace the fuse Part # http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/ctrfs.aspx?part_id=3132867&&model_id=246546&diagram_id=44382

Thanks for your prompt diagnosis (on Sunday). It was dead on. No continuity in fuse link. Ordered part monday. It arrived today (wed.) The dryer works. Domestic harmony restored. On to the next broken thing

Thanks for your help!
