My Mother purchased a stove to replace her broken one. When we got it home and removed the old one, we noticed the plugs were different. T old one had 3 prongs and the new one had 4. We need to know the proper way to fix this problem. Please advise:confused:

if existing plug recepticle has 3 flat prongs or line- neutral-line and a round prong- ground your new power cord should work fine ,could be the old one was missing ground prong, if existing recepticle is missing ground .you will probably need a electrition to rewire from electrical panel in basement to kitchen recepticle, unless ground wire is behind existing recepticle
