Dryer works, but doesn't turn off automatically anymore

My dryer was working perfect until 2 days ago, now when I dry things either on the auto sensing dry feature or on the timed dry feature, it never turns off. The dial is in fine condition and moves like it is working, but obviously not. I can move the dial to off and it stops the dryer, it just doesn't move on its own any more. Does any one have any ideas on what part this might be?
Thanks,

Check the timer motor for continuity. Replace the timer if it's open. If there is nothing wrong then most likely the problem is a bad moister sensor control board. - The part number for the timer is AP3212303 - The part number for the control board is AP3220652Gene.
