Hi there,

I'm trying to remove the lower front panel on my Whirlpool Duet Sport Electric Dryer. The instructions say to insert a putty knife wrapped in tape into the retention clips that hold the panel in place. Is there a trick to this? I've found the clips and I'm applying pressure with the putty knife but the clips don't seem to release.

Help! Thanks!

I think someone may have slipped you the wrong instructions.

Look at the panel and see if there are not two screws holding it in at the bottom. Remove them and the panel will drop out.

Let us know if this works.

Thanks

That worked! The mfg. instructions omitted the info about the screws entirely, go figure.

Thanks very much!

Kinda makes you wonder what else they did not tell us.

Glad you got it, thanks for updating us.
