Hi all,
Great forum here that I've learned a lot from! Now I have run into a strange problem that perhaps someone with more experience can shine some light on.
Defrost issues pointed towards a bad control board on my 1yr old Whirlpool. I ordered replacement and got it all installed. Come programming time, it was able to go into programming mode (flashing zeros), dialed in what I believe to be the correct code of "3 0". The last step to save this by holding the left down button results in the numbers flashing back to "0 0". I guess this means the number is not valid or they are not being saved.
Any insight on this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
What part# did you buy? The tech sheet says the Code number will be beside the word CODE on the model/serial tag. Yours doesn't seem to have that but the 30 does look like the code.

BargeyWargey, thank you for your post. The control W11524469 should be what was installed. Based on the model tag and the information provided, it sounds like you are doing the correct steps and that the code should be 30. As this is the case, it is possible that one of two things may have occurred. Either the control is faulty, or the code shown on the model tag is incorrect. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide the model codes to be able to identify if the code on the tag is accurate or not.
