Thank you for your question. If the water pressure going to the appliance is high, it can cause the filter to not seat properly and cause leaking. A way to identify if this may be the cause would be turning the water supply off, attempting to dispense leftover water to relieve pressure, and then installing the filter. Once this is done, the water supply can be turned back on. If the filter housing does not leak at this point, the water pressure is too high and is preventing the filter from seating properly when installed.
