Sounds like there is a sock or something stuck under the agitator. I took the fabric softener cap off and can not budge the dust cap for the life of me! It does not look damaged in any way. Help

If you have been using fabric softener or hard water it may have gunked things up.

The cap just pulls off, see if you can get at it with some pliers. Then a 7/16" socket will take out the bolt that holds the agitator on. You may need ane extension for the socket wrench. The agitator should then just lift up.

I did get the agitator off but nothing was stuck under it. It makes a weird noise during the spin cycle...kind of like a jet taking off. I am pretty irritated considering when it was only 2 years old, the motor ceased and had to have a brand new one put in ($380.00). It better not be going again!!! Ugh!!

Ouch, those motors almost never fail, just terrible luck. Check to see if something is caught between the tub and basket for that noise.

Post a video to youtube so we can hear it. Wonder if the counterbalance spring got replaced when motor was replaced? Your original motor is a single speed. Single speed motors are generally not available unless bought used so it gets replaced with a two speed motor which requires changing the counterbalance spring because the new motor is heavier.
