I have a Maytag washer that went out and replaced the control board W11519742. It worked but within minutes smelled an electric burn and the washer stopped working again. There is a metal pieces that arches over in the middle of the board with two things screwed into one side of it. The original board and the new board have burn marks on the inside of that metal piece now.

I am not a repair tech but I would suggest trying to see if any insulation has been broken from any of the wires. You could also check continuity between each wire.
