Our dishwasher is on the fritz and it's an evolving problem.

First, the washer pump wasn't working. The unit would fill and then nothing but some noise. I changed out the Circulation Pump and Motor (WPW10757217). The old one was definitely bad.

Everything back in place and now it doesn't fill with water. If I manually put water in the unit the new pump works great. The drain pump seems to be working fine, also. Just no fill.

I checked the Fill Valve Assembly (WPW10158389) and the resistance was in spec. Also, the connector seems to be getting voltage which would lead me to think that the control board is OK. I put in a new fill valve anyway as I thought the mechanical aspect could be out of whack. Same results.

I guess the next things to consider are the Water Inlet (WPW10195536) on the back of the unit and the float switch. The float moves up and down freely and I can tell there's some contact when it's pulled up. I don't know how to proceed other than to just keep putting parts on it.

Does anyone have some advice here?

Thanks in advance.

Further to this I have checked the operation of the float switch and it checks out. I tested the switch itself and when engaged (float down) the switch is open.

Also, I'm unable to determine if the (side) water inlet/flowmeter (W10041900) is functioning properly (I had the location and part number wrong in the OP). So I ordered one of those. It has an electrical connection and sends flow info back to the control board, I assume.
