Hi,

The Whirlpool Refrigerator model number is ED5PBAXVY01. This is a side by side refrigerator with an ice and a water dispenser in the door. The ice and water sections of the dispenser each have their own paddle. Other than the dispenser, the refrigerator is still working and still making ice. When the paddles are depressed, the lcd panel in the dispenser does not light up and it does not dispense ice or water. Is this likely to be the control board or the dispenser board or something else? Is there anything I can try to diagnose this?

The refrigerator is 14 years old. Is it time to replace it?

Thank you for any suggestions

I got the dispenser panel off. There's a 14 pin connector that looks like a microfit 3.0 on the dispenser board. I put the panel back together so i'm not positive about this but, with the connector unplugged there's about 0.4 volts I think it was from pin 6 to pin 13. It was a white wire with a blue stripe to a white wire with a black stripe. No other voltages. Both of the paddle switches work. Not sure where to look next. Does this sound like a bad main board?

After a chat session a few days ago with ApplianceParts Pros I ordered the main board. I replaced the main board and the dispenser is working now. Thank you!
