The oven and timmer on this Samsung Dual Fuel Range ny58j9850ws seem to work fine but the clock, timer, oven temperature do not display after being set. These displays started working again for about a day and then disappeared again. I am glad to order a new display board if needed but first want to check for a loose connecter since this has worked intermittently.

How do I remove the display board behind the glass window to verify the part number and check for loose connections? I cannot find a youtube video on how to remove the control panel that houses the display window. I did find and remove three philips head screws on the bottom of the pannel but it does not budge and I did not want to pry and bend somthing.

If there is a diagram or video on how to remove the panel, that would be great.

Thanks,

Hi there. Nate with AP Appliance here. I see that this post is a couple years old, so I don't know if you ended up figuring it out, but in case it will help someone else who sees this post, I'll share some disassembly instructions. On the top, at the back of the range, sits your cast iron oven vent cover. Lift it off and set it aside. You'll see 3 screws under it. Remove them. Now remove your gas burner grates/rings. They should just lift off. Underneath, next to your orifices, you'll see screws. 2 for the small burners, 3 for the large one, and 4 for your middle oval burner. Remove them. You can now grasp the cooktop from the back and lift up. Once you lift it up, you can slide it back slightly, releasing the tabs at the front of the cooktop from their grooves, and it will come off. Now, take all of your knobs off of your front control. Behind them are screws. 4 screws behind each knob. 2 of those screws hold the chrome/plastic bezels on the panel, the other 2 hold the panel on the range. (The panel removal screws have small circular alignment pins next to, or above them.) Remove those screws. Now, with some effort, and some slight lifting, the panel will pop free. You can now unplug the wires from the circuit board and remove the panel. To remove the control board from the panel, you'll need to unplug the ribbon connector of the touch screen from the circuit board. To do this, there's a long, thin piece of plastic (almost an inch long) on the board where the ribbon plugs into that must be rotated upward toward the ribbon to release the ribbon. Lastly, there are 2 screws holding the board down, one on each end. Remove those. You can now lift the board out. To install the new board, follow these instructions in reverse.
