I have a GE topload washer model GTW330ASK1WW. Online part search says the manufacture code for the controller board is WH22X35597. Purchased a new one of these from here at AppliancePartsPros.com.

My Technical sheet says the Personality code is "8"

Instructions say to set the personality code, go to test number 17 then press the start button to cycle through until you get to the right personality code.

When I do this, and I start pressing start, it goes:
1,2,3,4,5,....
then it jumps to 9
It skips right over 6 through 8

Then it continues:
9,1011,12

Then it jumps t0 14

Then:
15,16,17,18,19

Then it jumps to 21
then 22

then jumps to 24

Then 25

then back to 1


So it never displays 8 which is the personality my tech sheet says I need.

Any help?
