The ice maker came off it's mounting knobs and fell into the ice bucket.

Can't pull the ice bucket out because it is blocked by the ice maker.

Can only pull the ice bucket out two inches, or less.

Have tried to use rods, etc. to lift ice maker up and slot it back in
place, but haven't been able to get it back in place.

It doesn't look like the front of the ice bucket can be disassembled
in place so that the interior space can be accessed. Is this possible?

Are there any options other than buy a new 'frig'?

Wow, this is a first. Can you send a pic of what you are dealing with? If you can you need to unplug it but 2 inches does not give much room. can you reach the back and just try to wiggle it around a bit. APP has replacement parts if you need them but try to be patient and get just a little at a time. I never heard of this before but it's Samsung and anything is possible. (I have one myself, and I can share some stories). At times like this it pays to have an extra hand, If you can get the plug out you should be able to get it out and remount. Please follow up on progress, You can't even access the screws so there's just that way. As long as it's not putting out water just walk away for a while and think about what you are dealing with and take a different approach. Good luck.

Anybody figure out how to get this problem fixed? All of you didn't just buy a new fridge did you? I'm currently trying to solve the same issue.

Thanks.

Boy does that look like a bad design. I did a lot of searching and came up with nothing.

If it was me, I'd cut the front of the bin off and remove it that way. You'll probably need a new bin.

Or maybe you could cot a hole in the upper part of the front cover and reach in through there to lift up the IM. Then plate over the hole later.

Good luck.
