Ice maker used to function intermittently and would restart when I’d turn power off, remove filter and ice maker for an hour, replace water filter, use hair dryer for frozen supply line, etc but now has completely stopped working. An electrical storm once caused a power blink that got it working again. The water dispenser has always worked however. Just replaced ice maker unit but so far nothing. I occasionally hear the water valve open to refill ice maker but it’s not filling with water.

When it would decide to work it make ice until it filled up the bin and then stop until did some of the steps above or it magically started working again.

Can it be a water line issue if the water dispenser has always worked?
