Our front-loader LG washer has started just getting "loud" when spinning, and all signs point to the drum bearing since the machine is 12+ years old.

A while back I replaced the drain pump on the washer, which was adventurous for me, but I got it done, much to my satisfaction and money savings.

If you've done these jobs, how much harder would you say it is to do the bearing replacement? Like *much* more difficult? Or just a little bit extra work, but nothing insurmountable?

I'm debating whether to *try* the repair myself, in hopes of getting a few more years out of this w/d pair.

Thanks!
